The Most Important Thing

no matter how many courses u go.. how many books u read.. how many tournament u watch.. how many tournament u play but the very most important thing that differentiate a very good player and average player is practise practise practise.

Critical Success Factors in Pingpong.

1. teknik,cordination

2. taktik,knowledge

3. fizikal

4. mental,spirit,saikologi

5. visualasation , imagine, berangan2..

1.teknik

- skills.. attack,defense,serves.. etc

2. tactics

- placement,rotation,speed,tracjectory/bounce of the ball

3. fizikal
- stamina, strength, diet,....

4. Mental

** faktor minda bawah sedar – dr tuah.

“selagi game belum over set dlm fikiran.. anda akan mng and work for it.”

dlm arena pp ne esp bila tournament mcm
mcm ade. ada player yg top ada player yg pernah top ada player yg bagus tp x top lg. ada player yg baru dan boleh buat upset.

lawan player lama yg pernah top dan lawan player baru yg sedang nk top mencabar minda kdg2 .. kebiasaannya player akan kalah game dimana dia mentally unprepared for that game.. bila mentally prepared maksudnya kita x plan
proper straegi for that game.

camnekah strategi yg berkesan utk prepare mental kita dlm game?

takut kalah or nak sgt mng kdg kdg boleh menybbkan seseorg pemain itu x dpt bermain dgn aksi yg terbaik. game yg terbaik seorg player tu dpt hasilkan adalah bila dia dpt gunakan kekuatannya dan cover kelemahannya dan sebaliknya utk lwn yg dia hadapi..

prinsip berikut antara yg sy pernah dgr dikalangan player :

- dia takut kt aku
- aku akan cuba yg terbaik
- nothing too loose
- musnahkan dia
- respect ur oppenent

-”check every point"

sy pernah baca dlm paper , interview bersama rudy hartono lagenda badminton. rudy shares yg dia akan berdoa kpd tuhan utk every point dlm game, fakta yg sungguh menarik.

buku j.o waldner "when the feeling decides" dgn kita semua..
ada seorg coach share something very interesting...

5. visualasation , imagine, berangan2..

we must visualize tommorrow game tonite or bef the game for better result.. than it is important to know who is ur oppenent.

**** but the very most important is base on my personal experient is similar to rudy hartono. God will decide what will happen next. So ask from god and work for it and terima qada dan qadar. amin

VARATHANE DIAMOND INTERIOR WOOD FINISH-SATIN (not gloss)-#2002-61.

last few days, bet dr neubaeur firewall plus yg saya beli dgn tommy drpd us dah sampai. bila try semlm mmg try bet yg baru beli tu lagi padat n mampat n laju drpd bet yg saya beli di kl. puncanya cara dia seal the blade tu. rasa boleh solve problem nak spin dgn bet tu. semlm try main dr salor pun rasa ok dalam match practise.

fwd article from tommy dlm forum my tabble tennis . net dia seal bet tu ikut spec drpd chinese national team!

Here you go!!!
Don't lacquer . . .
Double Seal as per Chinese Specs (used to be triple seal, but more conservative now).
I seal everything and I always will. You'll get some debate about sealing, but those players are pulling chunks of top ply off each time they change rubbers. Smile.

VARATHANE DIAMOND INTERIOR WOOD FINISH-SATIN (not gloss)-#2002-61.

*Prepare blade first. If you have to lightly sand, do it carefully with a fine gauge sponge sanding block-DRY. If you wet-sand a bare wood blade it might sofen the wood and could disform it. Do not round off blade edges. Use rubbing alcohol to clean. Let dry (a few minutes). Now you're ready . . .

1. Stir Can well without shaking (causes air bubbles).
2. Dip the corner (twisted or folded up a little) of clean, dry cotton cloth* and quickly rub the sealer into the blade and with a technique that covers evenly. I go in circles starting at the center of the face of the blade and work my way to the outter edges, then wipe along the side edge (perimeter) of the blade where the edge tape will go, then quickly return to the face of the blade to wipe off any spill over from the edge sealing with some light vertical strokes from handle out over top of blade. You might want to stroke a nice even level line across the top of the handle where the bottom edge of the rubber will go; however, I think it looks better and strenthens the blade to seal the wings/shoulder. Some prefer to use a sponge or china bristle brush when applying, but that leaves a heavy coat and/or streaks of sealant. THAT IS NO GOOD. The trick is to rub the sealant INTO the blade, then gently wipe off the excess with the cloth. Some use a good quality paper towel. Basically, use whatever is clean and doesn't leave link or fuzz stuck in the wet sealant.
3. Wait two hours, then polish with a clean dry cloth.
4. Repeat.
5. Repeat a third or forth time ONLY if the blade is like bare porous wood or if you want a stiffer lacquered effect (I have over sealed and made a mess. My blade looked like an over protected night table . . . hard as a rock and too thick). Luckily, I managed to fix this by sanding with a fine gauge wet sanding sponge and it took hours to repair my disaster. But only do this if you mess up, which you shouldn't. However, I should mention many of the Chinese players are over-sealing to stiffen the blade. Some call over-sealing "lacquering." There are also other product and techniques specifically designed for lacquering, but I recommend using Varathane and adjusting the number of layers.
6. Wait 24-hours.
7. Affix your rubbers! I use glue sheets and NEVER get splinters when removing!!!!!!

*Use a cotton cloth or an expensive paper towel like Bounty that will not leave lint of fall apart and get stuck to your wet sealer. I use an old pair of 100% cotton boxer shorts. Smile.

I don't remember who turned me on to this Sealer, but it was on this site. My hats off to him/her. I added the boxer shorts.

ttvet86,
I think Hookshot answered your q to me really well!
Another thought . . . how much (coats) you use will also depend on the top ply of the blade, i.e., Stiga blades = MORE. Butterfly blades = less. I would put one nice coat on anything and everything, then adjust from there depending on the hardness of the top ply. The Acoustic + Violin need on one, unless you are using glue sheets. I just put three coats on my Stiga Offensive CR and lots of grain are still touchable and rough. It soaks up the sealant! i usually seal until about half of the grains have been glassed over. First coat rubbed in. Second coat wiped over, then see if you need another.
Best of luck.

How to create more spin woth Dr N Firewall Plus??

i am using Dr N Firewall Plus Blade.. with palio macro pro on fh side and solcion on bh side.. last weekend 1st time i play in a tournament with this blade..

i realise that my oppenent easy to block my loop or top spin... i need to really pull out all my energy to generate more spin so that my oppenent cant easily block or push my ball. after do that i find that the theory is correct.

than after the game.. my fren borrow my blade... he discover that... my blade n rubber is not properly glue.. so he reglue again my rubber... than after that it is okay...

now i am confusing.. is it coz of the blade or rubber or glue.. that actually coz my problems.. any opinion? next experiment i will try to replace the palio macro pro on fh to sriver 2.1 fx...

i want to still give this blade few times to try since i really like the fell and the speed it has when i block or smash or serves.

thanks for ur opinion.

On September 30, 2005, Tim O'Reilly wrote a piece summarizing his view of Web 2.0. The mind-map pictured above (constructed by Markus Angermeier [1] on November 11, 2005) sums up some of the memes of Web 2.0, with example-sites and services attached.

In studying and/or promoting web-technology, the phrase Web 2.0 can refer to a trend in web design and development — a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services (such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies) which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing between users. The term gained currency following the first O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004.[2][3] Although the term suggests a new version of the World Wide Web, it does not refer to an update to any technical specifications, but to changes in the ways software developers and end-users use webs. According to Tim O'Reilly:

"Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform." [4]

Some technology experts, notably Tim Berners-Lee, have questioned whether one can use the term in a meaningful way, since many of the technology components of "Web 2.0" have existed since the early days of the Web.[5][6]

An IBM social-networking analyst, Dario de Judicibus, has proposed a different definition which focuses more on social interactions and on architectural implementation:

"Web 2.0 is a knowledge-oriented environment where human interactions generate content that is published, managed and used through network applications in a service-oriented architecture." [7]

U have new email ...

from Dr Neubauer GmbH
to Nik Nashron Ab Aziz ,
date Feb 4, 2008 5:51 AM
subject Firewall Plus
mailed-by drneubauer.com

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email messages.
We are glad to hear that you are happy with our 'Firewall Plus' blade.
Yes, the speed of the blade does indeed depend on how you hit the ball:
The blade slows down the ball a bit for all passive strokes (blocking, chopping) and accelerates it dynamically for all active shots (counter-attacking, hitting, topspin).

Our 'Firewall Plus' blade is oversize however we can cut it down manually to any size you want at no surcharge.
We have chosen the big size because we found it to offer the best playing characteristics in terms of control and speed.
The main difference between the oversize blade and a smaller (cut) version is the speed: A smaller blade will get a bit faster.
Some of our customers have cut down their 'Firewall Plus' themselves in order to gain a bit more speed, they are happy with it.

However we generally recommend to stick to the original size (oversize).

Best regards

Carsten Neubauer

Sweet Spot..

confuse abt this... ne pasal bet baru la ne haha... dalam buku winning table tennis by greg ke.. dia advice sebelum beli bet try bounce bola at diff places on d blade.. dr situ kita dapat detect saiz sweet spot kat blade tu.. lagi besar lagi baik.

mr sean, former us team, now ustta coach.. dia habaq.. bila dia tukar blade kpd carbo 7.6 .. sweet spot dia lagi besar... mungkin mcm tu kot.. sweet spot bet carbon lagi besar drpd bet kayu...

dr n blade ne... if kena kat sweet spot mmg laju laju sgt.. tp kalau x kena kat sweet spot ait slow pulak.. the sweet spot tu kat bhg tgh.. tpt yg x sweet spot tu kat hujung and atas handle..

tapi ada seorg kawan bagi teori...sweet spot t dibantu oleh movement or "lajak" kata dia.. susah nak explain dlm ne.

rasa mungkin dr n punya blade ne... sweet spot dia x berapa besar sgt kot.. now i hv to train to always hit the ball at d sweet spot.. even need to adjust the angle of my blade.

Modified - Dr Neubaeur Blade.

cter dia camne.. tommy ne beli blade dr ne. pastu dia rasa berat.. so dia potong blade tu bagi normal size haha.. emm do i hv to do that???

I chopped up Dr. Neubauer!
Posted: 11/02/2007 at 1:25am
I bought two Dr. Neubauer Bulldozers, tried one, like it, but found it a bit too heavy. So, I made a standard size template, got out the power tools and created a new, lightweight standard size Doc. I also shortened the handle. The angle of the pic makes it look uneven, but it's actually dead on straight. It used to be 90 grams. Now it's under 80. I haven't glued up yet, but I will this weekend. BTW, the new one is up for sale on another post of mine. This is a really cheap way to have a high-priced top of the line balsa blade that has some pop to it!! I can't wait to do some spanking.

20071102_012231_Docs.gif

Thanks for the thumbs-up my friends. I'm kinda proud of this one. It looks even better in person. The pic is from an angle and makes one side looks different, but it's dead on. I made a template from my Clipper and cut to that with a jig saw, then used a pad sander with fine grade paper, followed by hand sanding with a extra fine grade sanding sponge. Finally, I sealed it. To shorten the handle I layed the blade flat on my TT Table and sanded it down with the sander. I wasn't sure what would happend when sanding the cork, but it worked.

The inner ply is balsa.

It's light now . . . maybe even under 80grams. It was too freakin' heavy for me and the handle was made for Big Foot. Not any more!!!!
